This is a wonderful place to spend a week on the banks of the Seine. Patsy is the perfect host. The Gite is fully equipped with everything a traveller needs, and more, a home away from home. Not only is the outlook stunning, but the location is perfect for easy access for all sightseeing. Thank you Patsy for making our stay in Normandy SO enjoyable. Au revior.

A second visit and even better than the first. Lovely welcome, super meal, Patsy is the font of all knowledge and guides us to places we would never have found by ourselves. We'll have to return in order to see all the other places she talks about. Thanks you for a wonderful weekend.

Everything one could wish for, a relaxing enjoyable weeks holiday. Having visited the area before we have been able to explore this lovely region further from a base which is truly magnificent, having every amenity we could wish for. Thank you Patsy for being the perfect hostess and for the outstanding first night dinner.

We have enjoyed a very relaxing week staying in this very comfortable, charming house with every need catered for. The views are stunning and the children have enjoyed watching the boats travelling up and down the river Seine. Patsy has been a truly delightful and thoughtful host and prepared a delicious meal for our arrival. We have enjoyed many trips to the surrounding area, and of course, the seaside . . . Our four-year old has developed a taste for moules frites and orangina.
Thanks so much for a most enjoyable holiday.

The weather resolutely refused to play ball so we might have envisaged a rather miserable time with a toddler in a rental gîte. But no, we found ourselves here, with a beautiful view to stare at, every single convenience we could think of and a very happy toddler. The house is beautiful and so comfortable. The area is lovely even in the grey and rain. And Patsy so very welcoming We are going home with a car rattling with cider . . . we didn’t think we liked cider . . . and many very happy memories. Thank you so much.

We have had a wonderful relaxing week in this beautiful spot. The house is immaculate, with every conceivable amenity and comfort thought of and provided. Thank you to Patsy for being such a charming and attentive host in every way. We especially appreciated her thoughtfulness and generosity in providing all the food essentials and wines. Our meal on arrival was delicious.
Bringing a teenager and an almost teenager on a rather different holiday for them was, beforehand daunting, but we have all thoroughly enjoyed our various excursions and activities around the area, fitting in a couple of days at the beach as well. The ultimate compliment from a 16 year old “This is a place I’d like to bring friends to” We will be back we hope . . . .

We have had a great relaxing holiday. We have loved the gîte! Comfortable, clean, all we needed was there. Patsy was very hospitable and helpful. Our little girl Lieve wandered through the lovely garden finding butterflies, leaves, flowers, pebbles a windmill and other susrpises. She loved the hammock and rolling on the lawn. Our baby girl just snoozed away. A great week exploring Normandy. We hope to be back soon

We have had a marvellous holiday here and are reluctant to leave. The house is immaculate, clean and comfortable and the hospitality we have received is, in our opinion, ‘unrivalable’. The starter pack was excellent and Patsy had gone to great lengths to ensure that everything was suitable for people with a variety of allergies. she had also provided a delicious meal with wines for us on arrival. The best hospitality we have ever experienced.

My family and I stayed in the gîte at Mille Roses for a little over a week and I would warmly recommend it. The gîte, being situated on the banks of the Seine at Villequier, is perfectly placed for a tranquil stay. The rural peace by the riverside is unbroken and nearby villages are elegant, quiet places to walk and eat. We used it as a base to explore the Normandy countryside, also making excursions to Bayeux, Le Havre and Rouen. We made a day trip to Paris, which was within easy reach.
The gîte is tastefully decorated and well-equipped and slept a family of four comfortably. The kitchen has everything you might need for the purposes of self-catering and is spotlessly clean. There is a view of the Seine from the front of the gîte, a garden surrounds it, and the bedroom is overlooked by leafy trees.
One of the advantages of a stay at Mille Roses is its famously hospitable English owner, Patsy, who had the gift of making us feel very welcome, without being at all intrusive, during our stay. She welcomed us with vintage champagne and a history of the area, giving us information and tips about where to eat, walk and visit. (She has lived and worked in the area for years.) She was available throughout our stay for help, translation (our French is rusty/poor) or friendly advice, but is the kind of hostess who waits to be asked rather than presses herself upon you during your stay.
We had a lovely, restful holiday there and I wouldn't hesitate to return.
