Un incontro assolutamente inaspettato sulle rive della Senna Maritima. Ci porta a sperare in una amicizia duratura! Un luogo fantastico e senza tempo dove il silenzo ha tanto da raccotare!

(We unexpectedly dropped here by the banks of the Seine, to find warmth and friendship! A fantastic place out of time, where silence has so many stories to tell!)

Many thanks Patsy for a lovely stay here on our way back from the Brenne region to Dieppe. You have a beautiful house in remarkable scenery, overlooking the Seine. We thoroughly enjoyed exploring the surrounding area, learning about the “Tall Ships Parade” and following the ‘route des Abbayes’ and more. Thank you for your generous hospitality and most interesting and amiable company.

Thank you very much for the lovely day and night in your beautiful and charming house, Patsy. We would love to come again and we will recommend your ‘chambres d’hôte to all our friends and family. Especially dinner with the champagne and superb red wine - was marvellous. I’m going to miss our conversations about all kinds of subjects! “Groetjes”

Just beginning our two week vacation, our stay at mille roses was very pleasant. The house is beautiful and immaculate and Patsy, our hostess, was very friendly and helpful with tips about where to go and what to see. We would very much like to come back and with proper notice to experience dinner here.

What a delightful spot and amusing host, coupled with a charming mini-château! Thank you Patsy for a lovely relaxing stay and we even got to see the first of the ‘Tall Ships’ motor majestically up river.

At the end of an enjoyable touring holiday, les mille roses was a delight. Patsy was a charming and entertaining host full of cultural and historical anecdotes that kept us entertained over an excellent dinner. A gem of a house and owner.

A very restful stay after a long drive. Lovely location and very interesting house with a charming hostess full of fascinating stories and able to deal with the difficulties created by a local power cut just as it was growing dark. A very enjoyable dinner following drinks on the terrace and a great breakfast before setting out for the south.

Our second visit this year, first as B+B guests and now almost two weeks in the gîte. A wonderful time, in blistering heat, enjoying the glorious views of the river and the ships sailing by. Thanks so much to Patsy for her welcome and concern and for showing us Le Havre, in a way we wouldn’t have done on our own.

Life seems pretty good at mille roses - a beautifully appointed house with its charming hostess, Patsy. We have thoroughly enjoyed our short stay; we may find ourselves returning to watch the Seine drift by.

We have spent two wonderful nights in mille roses on our way back from Brittany to Dieppe. We wish it had been longer. The house is beautiful and Patsy, a wonderful hostess. She cooked us lovely meals and told us stories about the history of the house, the area and her life in France. Fascinating. On her recommendation, we discovered Le Havre, a world heritage site, having lunch in one of the famous pop up restaurants along the beach. We’ll definitely be back.

What a delightful week we’ve had. We always use Alastair Sawday’s for our holidays but have never found such a lovely gîte in such a great location. Patsy has provided not just the essentials, but so much more. Her attention to detail is wonderful. A consummate hostess, she provided a superb meal on our first evening and offered helpful information and guides about the numerous excursions available; where to go, what to see and where to eat. What a great place, it’s difficult to believe how much there is to see and do here. Full credit to Patsy for making our stay so enjoyable.
